Remarks: Besides that, Cosmarium incrassatum (Fritsch et Rich) Willi Krieger et Gerloff is an illegitimate homonym of Cosmarium incrassatum Playfair, the similarity between the specimen found by Lenzenweger (and depicted here) with previously described taxa is doubtful or unclear. The best option for this taxon, that is larger than Cosmarium pyramidatum and more densely punctate, almost scrobiculate, would be to make it a new species.
